LZM In-service Automatic Ultrasonic Inspection System for Solid Axles is used for solid axles of locomotives,rolling stocks and metros. LZM system adopts advanced phased array ultrasonic inspection technology for inspecting defects in axle journal, wheel seat, gear seat, unloading groove and axle body. It is also suitable for disassembled axles inspection. Axles can be automatically and efficiently inspected instead of manual inspection.
LZM system has passed appraisal of Railways Bureau of P. R. China, and has been widely applied in locomotive and rolling stock depots.

Axle defects to be detected:
Transverse defect on axle journal: ≥ 1mm(equivalent crack depth)
Transverse defect on wheel seat: ≥ 2mm(equivalent crack depth)
Transverse defect on gear seat: ≥ 2.5mm(equivalent crack depth)
Transverse defect on body: ≥ 3mm(equivalent crack depth)
Inspection time: < 2 minutes per half axle
